Who Is Elsa

Elsa was born on 20 May 1973 in Paris. His parents, Georges Lunghini (actor, photographer, composer) and Christiane Jobert (painter and sculptor) named her Elsa in homage to Elsa Triolet.

She began her career as an actress at the age of 6 in Custody (Claude Miller’s film), followed in 1985, Red Baiser (Vera Belmont) in the role of Rosa then Train d’enfer (Roger Hanin). It was in 1986 that Elsa revealed herself as a singer in the film La femme de ma vie (Régis Wargnier) where she plays the role of Eloïse, who sings while accompanying herself on the piano. You do not go then becomes the soundtrack of the film. The single, released in October 1986, sold more than 1.3 million copies. Then began her career as a singer.
In 1988, Elsa released his self-titled debut album, Something in My Heart, Snow Day, never (with Laurent Voulzy), at the same time in two years, a friendship novel (in duet with Glenn Medeiros) . All these singles are successful in Europe and Asia. On the cinema side, Elsa plays Serge Maggiani (Emmanuel) ‘s daughter, wherever you are (Alain Bergala, 1988).

Two years after the first album, Rien only for that is in the ferries. Three singles will accompany this album: Just for that, Cry gently and What it can do to him. For the first time, Elsa composes the music of one of his songs (Nothing but for that).

In 1990, at the age of 17, Elsa performed on stage at the Olympia. She is the youngest performer on this scene! It follows a tour of several months through France and Europe.

Douce violence released in 1992 marks a turning point in Elsa’s career. She is far from the little girl of her early days. She is then 19 years old. She arrives on the set of Tous à la une after a long absence (due in part to the shooting of her new film) to promote the Return of Casanova (Edouard Niermans – presented at the Cannes Film Festival), short hair. Bust me (who received the 1992 UNAC Grand Prix), Chinese Torment, and All the Time, all the time are singles from Douce Violence.

Following this album, Elsa sets aside her professional life to dedicate herself to her life as a woman and a mother. She gives birth to a little boy, on 27 July 1994, whose father is a German singer named Peter Kröner. She calls him Luigi in memory of her paternal grandfather.

Elsa has put her film career aside, but very quickly resumes her career as a singer since she released in 1996 the album Every day is a long way she writes all the texts. An album ahead of its time, more acoustic, whose texts tell a story. This album gets very good reviews but did not have the success it deserved sales side. Two singles come out discreetly: Every day is a long way and Under my dress.
On stage, she was seen at the Café de la danse in Paris in October 96, at the Fnac, the Bataclan, in Seoul and the Francofolies of SPA in 1997 to present her fourth album. This album was translated into English (Everyday) including a song Canada Coast (which she picked up at her European concerts and was a success).

2002, Elsa returns to actress actress superbly playing the role of Charlotte in the telefilm The death is redhead (Christian Faure) with Bernard Giraudeau (Vincent).

2004, eight years since the last album … We must wait for a change of record label to finally see Elsa the singer with De Lava and Sap, a sublime album very much awaited by her fans. The first single My Love is accompanied by a clip awarded at the International Festival of the Arts of the Clip: Elsa obtains the prize of female interpretation.

From August 17th to September 17th 2004 in Tonnay-Charente, Elsa is in full shooting of the telefim Three June in June which will be broadcast in September 2005 on France 2.

Summer 2005, Etienne Daho and Elsa concoct a new single which is not extracted from the album: Eternité, reprise of the tube I can see Clearly now, played by Johnny Nash in 1972.

In September 2005, Elsa offers the public an unforgettable concert. Songs from his last two albums (One Desire, Connection, Canada Coast, The Other Half, …) cotoient his old hits (Do not go, Something in my heart, Never us). The spectator is filmed; A DVD and a live CD are released on April 10, 2006: Live connection, DVD which will be reissued in August.

In March 2006 we can discover it in an advertisement for Senja de Danone.

Elsa has been participating since 1997 in Les Enfoirés concerts for the restaurants of the heart, she is an honorary member of the Bout de vie association and also participates in other causes such as Ensemble contre la SIDA.

At the beginning of 2007, she went to Santo Domingo to shoot her new TV movie, an adaptation of the novel
